Mike Julien Managing Director |
After a career in accountancy which began with 6 years at Arthur Andersen Mike founded Wheesh in his daughter Mathilda's bedroom in April 2000. When not interfering with the smooth running of Wheesh Mike likes to take advantage of his New Forest surroundings to get in some scenic, if not fast, triathlon training. |

Janet joined Wheesh in March 2003 as Accounts Manager and is responsible for day-to-day book-keeping and other financial matters related to the company. Janet became a member of The Association of Accounting Technicians in 1987 and has worked as an auditor in accountancy practices before moving to company accounts. Janet enjoys cooking, playing bowls, walking and spending time with her family (especially her 3 grandchildren). Janet has chosen as her favourite products the luxury "jewellery boxes made by Hillwood because of their looks and superb finish". |

After much deliberation, Alaric decided that his favourite Wheesh products are the watch winders because they are "unusual and beautifully presented with a superb finish". |

Where does the name come from?
We wanted a name which would convey speed as we sought to gain a position in the highly competitive gift market by offering prompt delivery. Wheesh is a little used word in the English language which we think encapsulates the speed at which we work. Ironically the inspiration for the word came from a slightly slower operator, it is the noise made by a certain Tank Engine letting off steam when he emerges from the engine shed as any 3 year old could tell you.
